  • Artwork Criteria:
  • Laser engraving works best with simple black and white line art or clip art
  • The engraver cannot duplicate color or shades of gray, so when you upload your image the program will automatically convert it to black
  • Quality original artwork is key to a good imprint
  • The larger your artwork is the better it will turn out when engraved
  • It is better to take a large image and reduce it to fit the belt buckle than it is to try and enlarge a small image
  • Artwork measuring at least 4 to 6 inches wide, with a resolution of at least 150 pixels per inch works best
  • Small images or artwork with a low pixel resolution will likely become very pixilated or “jagged” when uploaded
  • Using Photographs:
  • What most people think of as a black and white photograph is actually considered “grayscale”, meaning it is comprised of different shades of gray
  • Because the laser cannot duplicate shades of gray, photographs lose a lot of detail when converted and generally do not work as well as line art or drawings
  • You can always experiment with different artwork and layouts before making an order
  • Once you have the desired layout click on the
